Step Up: The Movie
Everyone deserves a chance to follow their dreams, but some people only get one shot. Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) is a rebel from the wrong side of Baltimore's tracks – and the only thing that stands between him and an unfulfilled life are his dreams of one day making it out of there. Nora (Jenna Dewan) is a privileged ballet dancer attending Baltimore's ultra-elite Maryland School of the Arts -- and the only thing standing in the way of her obviously brilliant future is finding a great dance partner for her senior showcase. When trouble with the law lands Tyler with a community service gig at Maryland School of the Arts, he arrives as an angry outsider, until his skills as a gifted street dancer draw Nora's attention. Now, as sparks fly between them, both on and off stage, Tyler realizes he has just one performance to prove that he can step up to a life far larger than he ever imagined.
Channing Tatum (born Channing Bryan Isaac Tatum Anderson on April 26, 1980)He is the oldest of eight children; he has French, Irish and Native American ancestry. He is an American actor and former male fashion model After beginning his career as a male fashion model, he has branched out into acting roles, and has appeared in the films Coach Carter (2005), She's the Man and Step Up (both 2006).

Tatum was athletic while growing up, playing football, soccer, track, baseball and martial arts, and had "a lot of energy", although he says that "Girls were always my biggest distraction in school". During the ninth grade, he was sent to a military school, where he played on the football team. Tatum won a football scholarship to Glenville State College in West Virginia, although he soon lost interest in the sport and turned down the scholarship, citing his dislike of the demands of playing football.

Tatum returned home, feeling that he'd disappointed his parents. He worked numerous jobs before he got an interest in club dancing.

As of 2005, Tatum is dating his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan. Hollywood columnist Janet Charlton says Dewan admitted they were a couple. They have been dating since they finished filming Step Up.
Jenna Lee Dewan (born December 3, 1980, in Hartford, Connecticut) is a half Lebanese American actress. She starred as the title character in the 2005 horror film Tamara. She played an unpopular high school student, who is is picked on by classmates, dies, is buried by her classmates, and comes back to seek revenge. Other films that Dewan has appeared in include Waterborne (2005), Take the Lead, and Step Up (both 2006).

Prior to starring in film, she has been in dance since she was five years old, working for various famous performers, in live performances, and in videos. She danced for Justin Timberlake, 'N Sync, Sean Combs, Ricky Martin, Billy Crawford, and Janet Jackson.

She previously dated Justin Timberlake when she was a back-up dancer for *NSYNC. She was rumored to have been a factor in the break-up of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears in 2002. At one time Jenna was dating Shane West from A Walk to Remember. She is currently dating Channing Tatum [her co-star from Step Up].
Damaine Anthony Radcliff is 6'5". Out of the Highbridge section of the northern Bronx borough is the up-and-comer Damaine Radcliff. As a youth he was thought to have potentially excelled in two areas other than acting. While at IS 229 he was a part of the nationally ranked chess team (which coincidentally became a movie). His athletic prowess then shone as he became an All-City basketball star at Samuel Gompers High School. While at Milford Academy Prep he sustained an injury which pre-empted an athletic scholarship. It seems, luckily, that Damaine's star simply was meant to shine in another galaxy. Upon returning home he began pursuing another love, acting and filmmaking.

His "big break" could almost be considered a "break-in" An acting buddy told him about auditions being held for a `little' basketball movie and suggested that Damaine `crash' the audition. He did as his friend suggested and that little movie actually was Jerry Bruckhiemer's Glory Road. And the role was a lead portraying another Bronx native, legend Willie Cager! After months of filming and more months of waiting for release, The reward is the number one movie in America, which is drawing comparisons to great sports movies like "hoosiers". An Inspiring Bronx Tale! Coming Down The Road... Damaine has just completed filming in Baltimore on "Step Up" with Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan Platinum recording artists Mario Drew Sidora and rapper/Actor Heavy D, which is expected to be released later this year. He has also starred in numerous mystery shows such as Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Get used to see Damaine up on the big screen. He has said he enjoys acting very much and couldn't see himself doing anything else.
These are the main characters. Couldn't find biographys for the other actors/actresses, but I will credit them for doing such an amazing job together on the movie!
De'Shawn Washington (Skinny Carter), Mario (Miles Darby), Drew Sidora (Lucy Avila), Rachel Griffiths (Director Gorden), Josh Henderson (Brett Nolan), Tim Lacatena (Andrew), Alyson Stoner (Tyler's sister Camille), Heavy D (Omar), Deirdre Lovejoy (Nora's mom, Katherine Clark), Jane Beard (Lena Freeman), & Richard Pelzman (Bill Freeman)
Nora: Okay, um, I get it. You're not gonna use me to get out of cleaning the windows, even if you were capable of dancing.
Tyler Gage: I'm not trying to get out of anything. And I know you saw me the other day.
Nora: Thank you, but, umm, I can find someone else.
Tyler Gage: [Goes to leave] Aight. I was just trying to help.
Nora: Okay, wait.
[He stops and turns around]
Nora: Catch me.
Tyler Gage: [She runs towards him and he catches her, then he lets her fall in his arms] Now what?
Nora: Um... put me down.
[He puts her down]
Tyler Gage: I'll do it.
Nora: Do what?
Tyler Gage: I don't know, whatever y'all trying to do out here...
Nora: You wanna lift me? Are you kidding?
Tyler Gage: Does it look like I'm kidding?
Tyler Gage: Is... is this where you kill me?
Tyler Gage: Do I look like I own tights?
Tyler Gage: [imitating opera] Figaro. Figaro. Figaaaro.
Miles Darby: I just like to play with myself.
[everyone around him starts laughing]
Tyler Gage: I'm fighting, for something that's real for the first time in my life!
Nora: So are you gonna ask me to dance?
Tyler Gage: I didn't know you could dance without your tights!
Tyler Gage: [about a dance Nora imagens] You imagined it with dancers so get them!
Nora: Where am I going to get dancers?
Tyler Gage: Are you kidding, you go to a school just busting with kids in tights
